When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy gourmet cooking and fine dining, daydreaming about becoming an Episcopal priest and/or planting an emerging church, and (obviously) watching movies and TV.
I grew up in the Midwest (I lived the first 12 years of my life at Scott Air Force Base, IL, just across the river from St. Louis, MO) and the South (I went to Jr. High and High School in Louisville, KY). Since then I have spent my entire adult life on the West Coast (I lived for 14 years in Southern California before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2008).
I currently live in Berkeley, CA with my wife Anastasia and our daughter Margaret.
